The Brief
A residential property management company had a unique way of getting their tenants to save energy. In each residential tower, tenants partake in a friendly gamified competition to see who can consume the least amount of energy (water, gas, electric) per month. Top energy saving tenants are rewarded discounts on their rent. The problem was that tenants did not know about the energy saving game. And so, the company came to different companies (including nSite) for a solution. They wanted a design proposal for a lobby and elevator dashboard to give the game more exposure to reduce their carbon footprint.
The Solution
I came up with two dashboards. The first dashboard (located in the elevator) would show the top energy savers for the floor the elevator was currently sitting at. The second dashboard (located in the floor lobby) would show a scrolling leaderboard of the tenants. On both dashboards, additional contents were added in (such as content for the marketing team and amenities like ride sharing).
